Defining Shut Up Moment:

ON BEING BRAVE AND BOLD: The first big thing I did in my life was the Bogan Bill. I came out and forward that I was sexually abused as a child. I took the measure to increase the criminal statute of limitations for sex crimes on children, Senate Bill 556. Ultimately, two years later, the Assembly Bill 250 became the new Wisconsin law. It all started with me getting the ball rolling and all the people who jumped in to keep the ball rolling.

ON EXPLORING THE WORLD TO DISCOVER HER PURPOSE: I used to show up hungover or late for work. I remember having a revelation, I am more than this. Today is the day, I’m changing my life. Today is the day I’m taking back my power. Today is the day I am opening myself up to God and to the possibilities on what are before me and available to me. I called my friends in Hawaii and told them to take anything they want for free. All the trappings that 10 years living in a 3-bedroom home bring. I left Hawaii in the same  two suitcases I arrive in 10 year earlier.
